“Newlyweds” No More
Ladies and gentlemen, it seems as though the gossip kings and queens were totally and completely right all along…
Former MTV reality show stars (and mediocre singers) Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have officially split.
Thank God. The whole thing was getting a little tiring.
In a statement released to Us Weekly on Wednesday, the (former) couple made the grand announcement:
“After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
According to Perez Hilton, it was creepy, control freak Papa Joe Simpson who kept the couple from announcing the split a month earlier. Did we mention that Joe Simpson is creepy? CREEP-Y.
