The Gauntlet 2 - Episode 1 Recap

Oh the drama… Only on a RR/RW Challenge would you find THIS MUCH drama packed into 30 minutes. And all in, like, the first night.

Let’s begin by updating you on some of the cast:

Alton: Moved to Venice Beach with Irulan after RW: Las Vegas (ironically, I was at a Halloween party thrown at their apartment building and some friends of mine hung out in their apartment). They are now broken up.

Jamie (RR: New Orleans): Has been living in a Buddhist monestary. No joke.

Keena (Road Rules) and Randy (RW: San Diego): They’re dating. How totally random is that?

Beth (RW: Los Angles): Still gross. And annoying. And tried to hook up with Adam.

Adam (RR) & Julie (RR): Totally did it on the first night.

Timmy: Old enough to have fathered half of the cast, but still wonderfully sarcastic and funny (and cute in a “he could probably be my dad” kind of way)

Robin (RW: San Diego) & Mark (RR Season 1): They’re still “hooking up,” but Robin proudly proclaimed to be single. Classy…

The episode began with the teams facing off against… their own teams. Why? To figure out who would be team captain. The first unofficial challenge placed each team out on a barge in the middle of some body of water where the point was to be the last man standing. The challenge was the boring part of the episode. It got exciting when everyone decided to throw Mark (RR Season 1) a birthday party. Obviously, a group of RR & RWers cannot be in a house together without getting completely inebriated. So the party got wild and Jo (Real World: San Francisco) lost her marbles. She started threatening to call the police and refused to talk to anyone. Apparently the festivities were a little too wild for her taste. Exactly HOW she didn’t realize that every Challenge involves gallons of alcohol and debauchery and drama, I do not know…

We shall find out what happens on the next episode…
