People has a poll up on the most shocking breakup of 2005 - contenders are our very own Newlyweds Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Nicole Richie and DJ AM, Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush (wait, who?) and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.
Since rumors had been running about near FOREVER that Nick and Jessica were on the outs, my vote goes to Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston as the most surprising breakup.
