8th & Ocean… Coming Soon
Have you seen the promos for 8th & Ocean on MTV?
Details for the show are still pretty scarce, but The New York Post reported this back in October:
MTV is heading back to shore with a “Laguna Beach” spinoff set in Miami’s ritzy South Beach.
The new show, “8th & Ocean,” will center on the lives of wannabe fashion models trying to hit the big time in Miami’s spiciest neighborhood — home to what has been called the “sexiest beach” in the U.S.
Plans call for “8th & Ocean” to use the same multiple-camera style and editing techniques that make “Laguna” look more like a scripted drama than a reality show, according to an industry source.
And now it’s up to the MTV viewers to decide whether it holds up to the popularity of Laguna. My guess - it won’t quite have the same following, but people are definitely gonna be watching.

I like this show 10 times more than Laguna Beach! I don’t know why but I guess there’s more of a plot. The cast isn’t just a bunch of rich kids and there teenage problems, but it shows the industy and the life and stuggles of models trying to make it. Not to mention plenty of juicy drama!
