“Fingerprints” is based on the widely publicized urban legend that took place 50 years ago in a small Texas town, where a school bus filled with children was hit by a train killing everyone on-board. The ghosts of the children are supposedly still in the area where the accident took place. It is said that if a car is put in neutral on the railroad tracks, the children will push the car off the tracks, leaving only their ghostly fingerprints behind. The movie centers on a troubled teenager who discovers the gruesome truth behind the legend.
The film stars Kristen Cavallari (”Laguna Beach,” “Veronica Mars”), Leah Pipes (”Malcolm in the Middle”), Josh Henderson (”Yours, Mine and Ours,” “8 Simple Rules”) aka Ashlee Simpson’s ex bf, Andrew Lawrence (”Lilo & Stitch: The Series,” “Tucker”) as well as veteran actors Lou Diamond Philips, Sally Kirkland and Geoffrey Lewis. “Fingerprints” offers a unique blend of the supernatural, gore, and suspense that will satisfy horror and thriller fans young and old. The cast is also a blend of hot up-and-coming actors as well as seasoned veterans.
Whoever wrote this obvious PR fluff failed to mention that if the cast is any indication to the quality of this film, the whole thing is gonna suck. When was the last time that you thought of Lou Diamond Phillips as a real blockbuster star? And for the record, Andrew Lawrence is, in fact, the younger brother of Joey (erm, Joseph) Lawrence. Whoa!
