It’s Official - Paris is Headed for MTV

Now that Nicole Ritchie is busy with motherhood, Paris Hilton is searching for a new BFF… on MTV.
The ten episode reality series will air on MTV in the fourth quarter of 2008 with production starting in May.
20 potential best friends will live together in a house to compete in tests of loyalty, endurance and girl politics. The BFF hopefuls will have to show Paris that they have what it takes to deal with the Hollywood glitz, paparazzi, cruel bloggers, and the temptations that come along with wealth and privilege. In turn, Paris will be teaching potential-BFFs the secrets of celebrity living, how to turn your party girl ways into a successful brand and how to survive scandal.
So what does the winner get other than a faux friendship with Paris? An all access pass to the VIP section of the VIP section, according to MTV. Translation - nothing other than making an ass of yourself on TV for ten weeks.
Starting now, fans can vote on ParisBFF.com to help cast the pool of Paris’ potential friends. Those interesting in submitting to become the new bestie, can fill out a profile full of blogs, pictures and videos to try to convince voters that she has what it takes.
So get on over there and start voting!
