The Gauntlet 3 Reunion Gets Nasty
Let it be said that there will never, ever in Real World or Challenge history, be another Coral. Love her or hate her, she is definitely one of a kind. The same goes for Katie, who I will forever remember as the girl who won a challenge while smoking a cigarette.
As fiesty and crazy as the Real World/Road Rules Challeges get, nothing can ever quite compare to the reunion show. This one was no exception. If you missed it, here are the high points:
- Coral is generally pissed at everyone except Katie. A healthy amount of her rage is aimed toward Evelyn and Evan.
- Eric defended himself, saying that he never presented himself to be a stronger player than he proved to be. His best line: “I said I could run a 10 minute mile. I didn’t say I could run a 10 minute mile after swimming in the ocean with a life jacket that didn’t fit me.”
- Evelyn is perfectly content to never speak to Brooke again.
- Brooke is rumored to be dating Evelyn’s ex-girlfriend, though neither would confirm or deny this tidbit. The look on Coral’s face suggested it was true. (Thanks, Bacchus for the updated info)
- Frank and Jillian are totally still together, live together (news that we TOTALLY broke ages ago) and are $100,000 richer, collectively.
- Wes and Johanna are no longer together.
- Paula and Derek are not dating, but remain good friends.
- Johnny Bananas and Casey are not dating.
- There seems to still be some animosity between Johanna and Melinda.
- A hook-up that you never saw - Rachel and Eric!!
- Brad and Tori are still together. They are unofficially living together, though she travels quite a bit for her duties as Miss Virginia.
- Diem and CT have broken up!
- Kenny revealed that during the final challenge, after the Veterans had thought then won (and then found out they didn’t), Frank was the only one on the Rookie’s team still digging for the chest. His teammates were passed out in the sand.
