MTV is searching for “America’s next female superstar.” The catch - they’re not only looking for talented female singers with awesome personalities, they are also looking for their “equally charismatic” mothers/managers (hello, stage moms!). The mother/daughter teams will compete for a chance for some cash and to showcase the daughter’s talent.

Are you a talented singer with an entertaining mother/manager a la Dina Lohan? Then check out the open casting calls after the jump!

My daughter and I, Trina went on the casting call for Teen Dream. We had expected the auditon to last the norm, usually 15 mins tops. We were there from 12:30 to 3:30. We were the 2nd mom and daugher there. We had number 16. MTV media was there. The interviewed the mom and daugher that were there first. Came back into the room looked around and ask to interview the mom and daugher in back of us who had number 17. My daugher and us just looked at each other. I felt, oh well, guess I messed it up for my duaughter, I always knew I wasn’t photogictic.

i took my daughter to the chicago audition, and if you have ever been to an open call before you know the wait is usually tremendously long so you should be prepared. i actually thought that things were well run and moved along smoothly. we were number 29 i think or 26 and we waited a few hours but they did a really good interview and actually spent quality time with us. at other open calls it was in and out in five minutes i think we were in for almost a half hour… when we were called in to audition we had a really good time! as a matter of fact compared to a couple other auditions i went to i really enjoyed the experience of this one.

I went to the auditions being held in Dallas, Tx. I think over all the experience was a lot of fun!! The crew were very friendly, and whether or not we made it, we were glad for the experience!!

I enjoyed the interview with the Dream Team. Thay made us feel really confortable and special. I don’t know if we were one of the chosen mother and daughter team, yet. I do look forward to hearing from them. They are really nice people. We love you all Dream Team.

I was also at the Chicago auditions and it was an absolutely rewarding experience. Some of the mothers were not very talkative and the MTV casting was specific it asked for daughters and their “charismatic” mothers.

My mother and i recently attended the auditions on May 3, 2008. My mother and i where number 5 but we didn’t let that get to us because we ended up being seen second to be seen. While in the waiting room it started out quiet but two mothers interacted which made me feel more comfortable and less nervous. I was actually surprised on how long we where in there for. My mother and i where in there for about 25 to 30 minutes tops. I really hope i get it and hope all the other teams the best of luck and hope they make it as well. Please if anyone hears anything about the Teen Dream please don’t hesitate to email me with information.
