Real World Ep 1: ‘Brooklyn Bridging’

Tonight during the season premiere of the Real World:  Brooklyn the roomies moved into their new digs in Red Hook .  I already expressed my excitement about the show but to be quite honest this episode didn’t really live up to my expectations.  I watched for a full 60 minutes and there was absolutely no action.  Isn’t someone supposed to be naked and/or making out in a hot tub by now?

Instead of slutting it up for the cameras the roomates were busy gossiping about everyone’s sexual orientations.  Katelynn, the transgendered girl was the main topic of conversation.  In the clip above, Ryan, the “small town guy” basically puts her on blast in front of all of the roomates.  He lost major cool points there.

Later in the episode he sort of redeemed himself a little by playing the guitar and singing an impromptu song with Chet in the boat outside of the Real World House.

Then he opened up about his experience in the army and showed off a book he was writing about his experiences on the front line.  Very cool.

But then he called Katelynn “it.”  Epic fail.  Game over.
