It sure seems like it!  The former Laguna Beach-er has been spotted out and about in Hollywood an awful lot lately.  Kristin Cavallari was spotted leaving the Byron and Tracey hair salon in Beverly Hills on Saturday.  And yesterday she was snapped leaving a screening of “The Insider” at the Arclight Theater.  All of these paparazzi moments make me think there may be some truth to the rumors that Cavallari’s taking Lauren Conrad’s place on the next chapter of The Hills.

Here’s another Random Sighting for the record books.  Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari met up with the recently rehabbed actress Tara Reid over the weekend at the Coachella festival in California.

The final season of The Hills is underway here’s what happened in the first two episodes.

Ep. 1

As the season opens Stephanie and Heidi are eating at a cafe and Stephanie is totally instigating Heidi’s plan to crash LC’s surprise birthday party.

As the girls are getting ready to go Heidi attempts to keep the plot a secret from Spencer and proves that she is in fact the worst liar ever.

Spencer figures out the Heidi is going to be out with LC and decides to make it a guys night. We see him at a bar taking shots of Patron and doing a sleazy chair dance.

Audrina and Lo escort a blindfolded LC into her surprise party on a ship. She is amused.

Heidi shows up. LC is not amused.

Kristin Cavallari, who was rumored to make a return to MTV on The Hills several months ago (clearly that isn’t  happening), works out with her trainer.  Preparing for another movie role, perhaps?

Look out world - Kristin Cavallari is now 21.

Funny how rumors are swirling about Kristin joining The Hills at the same time that she starts popping back up on the gossip blogs.  Convenient, eh?  I’d say the clever marketing people at MTV have their job down PAT.

So how did Miss Cavallari spend the big 2-1?

The former Laguna Beach star marked the rite of passage at Luxor’s LAX nightclub, where she danced to Soulja Boy and hung with friends.

“My first official drink was Grey Goose and soda,” she said. “It’s really exciting. I can go to the clubs and not worry about anything.”

She was joined by fellow Laguna Beach alum Alex Murrel, and spent the night chatting up former flame Matt Leinart, who coincidentally was seated at an adjacent table in the VIP section.

I remember my first drink when I was 21 and it was more like a Corona (with lime) while belting out karaoke at a dive bar.  Because I like to keep it real.  I don’t need blowouts in Vegas.  Pshaw…

Remember Kristin Cavallari?  It’s been awhile since she did much of anything worth reporting, but apparently the producers of The Hills would like her to join Lauren & Co. on the show.  Lauren is reportedly less than enthused about the prospect of being reunited with her former reality TV nemesis.  And lets not forget that Kristin dated Brody Jenner for a year or so after Laguna Beach ended…

Not surprisingly, according to the same insiders, Lauren is less than thrilled with the idea of Kristin coming onto her show, possibly due to their previous love triangle with Stephen Colletti. But as we’ve seen from Heidi and Lauren this season, that sort of tension can also make for very good TV. (Sad, but true.)

As for whether Kristin would agree to hit The Hills, we shouldn’t forget that when Laguna Beach ended, she said she was leaving reality TV behind in order to focus on her acting career. But with The Hills‘ newfound über-audience and über-presence in the media, I’m thinking this show may be well worth her time.

Zep Tepi Entertainment has begun production on the feature film “Green Flash”, a sports-action drama set deep inside the world of pro beach volleyball. The film is shooting throughout Los Angeles and in Manhattan Beach, the home of beach volleyball.

“Green Flash” stars “Baywatch” hunk and world-recognized recording artist David Charvet who returns to the screen to reclaim his “king of the beach” status. Co-stars are Torrey DeVitto (”One Tree Hill”, “Beautiful People”), Kristin Cavallari (”Laguna Beach”), Brody Hutzler (”Days of Our Lives”, “Legally Blonde”), and Jaleel White (”Dreamgirls”, “Family Matters”).

I really don’t know where to start with this one.  First there’s the reference to “world-recognized recording artist” David Charvet.  Is he modeling his career after David Hasselhoff’s?  Wha???  I remember him much better as Matt on Baywatch, rescuing surfers and dating CJ Parker.  Then we have mention of Jaleel White.  Honestly, I can’t go on.  I am too in awe of referencing both David Charvet and Jaleel White all in one post.   It’s almost like blogging Christmas.
