Yesterday, Lauren Conrad was at the Barnes and Noble in The Grove signing copies of her brand new book, LA Candy.

The Hills star told E! that she’s interested in adapting the novel, which is the first in a three part series into a TV show. “It’s one of my hopes,” she said.
“We’re going to start working on that when I get back from my book tour.”

Does Anyone on MTV Have Bad Skin?

This blog typically focuses on the glamorous lives of MTV’s biggest reality stars. On a daily basis I scour the most popular paparazzi websites and post tons of photos of Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, Paris Hilton, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge looking great. Day in and day out these girls hit the hottest parties, restaurants and nightclubs wearing great outfits with perfect hair and make-up.

Somehow these “real people” never seem to have any real problems with their weight, hair or skin. Though Lauren Conrad was thrust into Laguna Beach fame because she was an average (albeit pretty and privileged) teenager we’ve never seen her, or any of the other stars on the show, battle a bad hair day or acne break out.
How is this possible? I decided to dig a little deeper and see if I could find any evidence of our favorite MTV reality stars fighting problem skin.
For Audrina Patridge, all I could find was a quick beauty tip. The Hills star blogged that the key to maintaining her clear complexion is always, always removing her make-up at night. “No matter how tired I am, I always wash my face and moisturize!”
Last year, when LC was promoting her partnership with mark (Avon’s boutique beauty brand) she shared a few beauty tips with Imnotobsessed. According to Conrad, her “skin gets thrashed” flying coast to coast so she always has some moisturizer handy to keep it fresh.
LC isn’t the only MTV celeb who blames flying for her acne problem. The Mirror.Co.UK reported that Paris had to pop into an airport spa for a quick facial to alleviate her pimples.
According to reports online, 27-year old heiress Paris Hilton claims to have bad skin because she travels so much. One source close to the heiress is quoted online explaining Paris’s theory about airplanes and bad skin. The article states that “Paris checked into the Virgin Beauty parlour at Heathrow (Airport) to have a facial…claiming that her frequent flying has given her acne.”
That’s all I could find, confirmation of a few pimples caused by frequent flying. Go figure.

LC Tells Letterman Her Ticket to Speidi’s Wedding Is On Ebay

I love it when David Letterman interviews cast members from The Hills. It’s always awkwardly entertaining. Lauren Conrad’s most recent visit to the Late Show didn’t disappoint. LC and Dave talked about Heidi and Spencer’s wedding (it’s on for this sunday and no she’s not going) and whether or not Brody is a “load.” But the funniest moment was when Dave told her that he kinda wanted to see her (non-existent) sex tape. Lauren was clearly creeped out. You have to see it.

It’s Stephanie Pratt’s first day at People’s Revolution Lauren is passing her the proverbial lint roller. Of course she’s messing everything up. Kelly Cutrone comes in and scares the crap out of her.
Meanwhile her brother Spencer shows up outside of Heidi’s job and does a horrible job of convincing her that he’s not into the bartender chick. “She’s not my type,” he says. “She doesn’t have blond hair and I’m into blonds.” Nice try Spencer but Heidi clearly knows about the wonders of hair dye. I doubt that spiel did anything to calm her bottle blond mind.
The Hills Season 5 Ep. 1 & 2: We’re Off To A Good Start

Ep. 1
As the season opens Stephanie and Heidi are eating at a cafe and Stephanie is totally instigating Heidi’s plan to crash LC’s surprise birthday party.
As the girls are getting ready to go Heidi attempts to keep the plot a secret from Spencer and proves that she is in fact the worst liar ever.
Spencer figures out the Heidi is going to be out with LC and decides to make it a guys night. We see him at a bar taking shots of Patron and doing a sleazy chair dance.
Audrina and Lo escort a blindfolded LC into her surprise party on a ship. She is amused.
Heidi shows up. LC is not amused.
Lauren Conrad Is Sick of Living a Double Life

A while back I posted a quote from an MTV exec that said it had become difficult to find moments in Lauren Conrad’s life when she wasn’t the famous girl from The Hills. ‘It’s harder for us,’ said Liz Gately, ‘to find those moments when she’s the Lauren going through more universal and relatable experiences.’”
In a new interview with US Weekly, LC opened up about her decision to leave the show and admitted that leading a double life had been hard on her.
“You see us on the show and we appear to have seminormal lives, but if you watch any entertainment news show, half of the cast is being swarmed by paparazzi,” the 23-year-old says. “I’m excited to go back to having just one life, because there were times that I got them confused.”
“I loved doing it and had so much fun, but it came to a point where I had done it long enough.”
Conrad will end her stint on the hit show after the fifth season which begins airing on March 30th.
Watch out Lauren Conrad, Jason Wahler Is Single Again!

Lauren Conrad’s ex-boyfriend from Jason Wahler has called off his engagement to his 21 year old fiance Katja Decker Sadowski (pictured above). The bad boy from Laguna Beach broke the news exclusively to US Weekly.
“I have decided to end my engagement, and it’s an amicable split,” the Hills star, 22, tells Usmagazine.com.
Wahler — who has also dated Lauren Conrad — says they’re “still good friends. “We agreed we are both just too young to be considering getting married right now,” he added.
